All excited about your fun mehendi function? So are we! The best mehendi artists in Delhi will give you the most beautiful mehendi designs! And we’re all the more excited because it’s winters, and what better than a lawn function on a sunny-winter day?! What what what?!
Okay (not so) seriously, let’s get to our list, and why we think you too will love it!
1. It is utmost relaxing. Literally!
So that expensive mehendi wala you’ve booked will not only put pretty mehendi, but putting the pretty mehendi will be pretty tiring too. It usually takes somewhere between 4-8 hours applying mehendi, depending upon the intricacy of the design you’ve chosen, and then it takes endless hours (figuratively speaking) on the DJ or by the dhol! The next morning then awaits you for the chooda/haldi ceremony. So, it’s best to have the function during the day itself. Not only will it give you ample of time to comfortably put the mehendi, but also to meet and enjoy with the guests, and get some good sleep before the “THE DAY”.
Also, don’t forget how unkind the winter nights can get. It’s best to get it done with the sun on your head.
2. 50 shades of shades.
Like seriously, cat eyes, reflectors, wayfarers, and what not?! Take those matchy darlings out. Not only do they help with the sun; okay we don’t quite literally need them for the good-winter sun, but we do need them for the oh-so-stunning pictures! Yes sir, as much as we love to dress up and look superb, we equally (or more) like to put out new glares to show.
3. Dress vress – haye rabba!
Red for the wedding; gold for the reception. What for the mehendi? Say adios to the boring blues and blacks (no we still love you, you two) but seriously, a day mehendi gives you so many more options. Everything from peach-pink crop top; floral anarkali, green and lemon sharara and kurta, yellow patyala, to a purple and orange corset and (short) ghagra.
Anything, anything and everything exciting!
Top them up with floral jewellery, take your grandmother’s pearls, and wear them too.
Keep it light, exciting and bright! And we assure you, you will be the most gleaming bride.
4. All things bright and beautiful
So so beautiful, indeed! The fresh flowers, the fun plaque cards, the photo booths, the bright yellows and pinks and green, Oh the thought of it, is bringing a huge grin to our face already!
Also, don’t forget those decorated swings, and the decked up dhol walas. Dance people dance, show off those moves and thumkas! And take those selfies with all the fun embellishments; we know how astonishing these pictures look for your DP’s.
5. Shuru karo antakshari, leke daaru ka naam
Boys v/s girls, elders’ v/s fun lovers, dulha’s family v/s dulhan’s family, jo hai, khelo! Pass-the-Pillow, antakshari, Musical chair, karaoke (keep the croaking frogs away), dumb charades. Play what you like; it’s so much entertaining, plus it’s so different from people simply coming, getting the mehendi done, drinking, dancing and leaving. You’ll give all your guests a chance to chase the child within, and your mehendi will sure become the most memorable one! We promise.
Now with all this on your mehendi, you’re sure have your pictures, saying, “PAGE 3!”
Besides, with the latest trend of both the groom’s and bride’s side having the function together, you (presumably) are going to have more fun, all kinds of fun. Wink*
